The Centre for the Development of Vocational Training in Europe (CEDEFOP) has published a number of analyses in recent years on the impact of technological change on jobs (and hence on competence expectations). These documents also go into detail on how individual companies can analyse changes in their own work activities and identify training processes that can help them to become more competitive by exploiting the opportunities of Industry 4.0.

Transforming jobs: the impact of automation in Hungary

The study details the expected impact of automation on the Hungarian labour market and the opportunities and challenges for companies. One of the key findings of the analysis is that the training of companies’ own employees is also a key priority, and that through the effective use of modern technologies and the appropriate level of workforce training, almost all fields of expertise can achieve significant productivity and competitiveness gains in the coming years/decades.
