Complex corporate competency management and development

A Training 4 Industry system

The Training 4 Industry (T4I) system is a specialised system that enables companies in any sector to assess and organise competences within the company, to define training paths and specific training courses, and thus to make the company more efficient and productive.

Why is it useful for the company?

Expected and existing competences: helps to assess and monitor the expected and existing competences for each job. Whether these are narrowly defined professional competences or transferable or key competences that can be used in more than one job.

Missing competences: this will show where the set of competences of the jobs in the company are similar and where they diverge.

Training needs: the T4I system makes it easy (in a highly automated way) to track which training is needed for which employees, and which new competences are being acquired through this training.

Training automation: fully automate the matching of training required for each job role to a specific employee – whether one-off or recurring, in-house or external, on-site or e-learning.

Transparency: HR can easily track which training is needed for which job areas at any given moment.

Individual needs: the system already includes elements tailored to individual company needs, such as:

-reports on which colleague (currently working in a different job) could fill a specific job based on their competences and skills?

–reports on how well, overall, do employees in each job meet the required competences?

Integrated e-learning: the system is fully interoperable with the CourseGarden e-learning platform, e-learning courses are automatically assigned to employees and course completion is reported back into the T4I system without human intervention.

Interconnectivity: the system can be linked to a number of other HR and work organisation internal systems (e.g. recruitment management).

Key functions and features of the system

Mapping the structure of the company

- in the depth required by the company, with full flexibility

Mapping of competences/knowledge/requirements required for each job

- with the necessary levels, also as required by the company

Profiling existing workers

Managing required and existing competences

- identify gaps and strengths

Recording of e-learning or other forms of training to develop specific competences

Employee interface

- on which the assigned courses can be followed

Special reports on workforce management

- for example: which workers can be transferred to other jobs based on their competences/skills?

Integrated cooperation with the connected e-learning platform

- automatic reporting of e-learning courses in the T4I system

Training 4 Industry works as a flexible framework

- which supports the management of competences and the delivery of training based on them, but can be extended with new functions according to the needs of the partner.

The competency matrix

Behind the T4I system is a competency matrix that maps the structure of a company (e.g. based on jobs/job groups in production areas) and then assigns competencies to these in a systematic way. These relationships can of course be freely modified, with the needed number of levels – according to the needs of the company. This can also be interpreted in relation to jobs and employees.
